Double Dragon 3, the third game in the iconic beat ’em up series, is making its way onto the Analogue Pocket thanks to the talents of FPGA developer Pramod Somashekar.

Details about the Analogue Pocket version of Double Dragon 3 are as follows:

I had to capture some data from the board for this one, as the interrupts are very specific timing-wise,” revealed Somashekar. “I have a couple of minor issues to work out, but everything, including sound, works fine.”

I remember the arcade version of DD3 being the toughest game in the series by far. For novice plays like myself, it’s mostly about bashing the buttons and hope that you make some progress. Was still a great experience as a young kid playing this for the first time.

You can keep up with all updates on the game from Somashekar via his X account.

What is your favorite game in the Double Dragon series of games? Do you prefer the arcade version of your favorite one or the home consoles version? We would love to hear from you down in our comments section below.
