After a two year long wait, the remake of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot is finally coming out this year and will be available exclusively on Max instead of movie theaters.
No official release date has been set in place as of writing this article, but it is believed that director Gary Dauberman‘s film will premiere later this year on the popular streaming service Max.
We are lucky to be even getting it at all as it seemed like it had been shelved by Warner Bros.
The original 1979 film based on King’s 1975 novel follows:
“A writer named Ben Mears returns to the town of Jerusalem’s Lot in Maine, where he lived from the age of five through nine, only to discover that the residents are becoming vampires.”
The new film will feature Lewis Pullman as Ben Mears, Alfre Woodard as Dr. Cody, Makenzie Leigh as Susan Norton, Bill Camp as Matthew Burke, Spencer Treat Clark as Mike Ryerson, Pilou Asbæk as Straker, and John Benjamin Hickey as Father Callahan.
