Irem‘s classic 1988 arcade beat ’em up game Vigilante is being ported over to the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. More information about the fan-made project can be found below.
The port is by Fabrice Fernandez, and YouTube channel Genesis 8:14 shared an early in development video of the game in action. I have to say, it’s already looking mighty impressive.
I was always very impressed with the visuals of the Vigilante arcade machine as a young kid. The game may not hold up quite as well these days, but it’s still a decent fighting game for sure.
According to the video footage, the game will have the option to choose from either the MD or PCE color palettes. How cool does that sound?
