Nemesis is one of most terrifying, antagonist villains in the Resident Evil video game series. The creature made its debut in 1999 in Capcom’s Resident Evil 3 for the Sony PlayStation console.
The character later reappeared in two more games, including Resident Evil Survivor 2 and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles.
Where did Nemesis come from?
Umbrella Corporation is responsible for its existence. The creature was developed as parasitic brain which takes over the Tyrant’s nervous system when it launches its attacks. The creature also repeatedly says the word “stars” in reference to our heroes when they are in its presence.
Better watch out for that rocket launcher, which repeatedly fires devastating missiles rapidly in your direction while trying to avoid a close up confrontation with the creature. Terrifying stuff for sure.
The most iconic character in the Resident Evil series?
Nemesis is (arguably) the most iconic character in the Resident Evil series to date. You would probably have to go back and play Resident Evil 3 again to understand why this creature is so beloved within the series fan community.
Are you a big fan of character? Do you think Nemesis should make a return to the series? You can share your opinions on these two questions down in our community section below.
