There are quiet a few hidden Altered Beast cheat codes that you need to know about. Whether you use a Sega Genesis or a Mega Drive, the following cheats should work just fine on both US and UK versions of the game and console.
All the cheat codes listed in this article can be entered using only your control pad.
Continue from the stage where you died:
When you lose all your lives and the Game Over screen appears, press and hold down A and hit the START at the Title Screen to return to the stage where you last left off.
Hidden options menu:
While on the Title Screen, press and hold down the B button and hit START at the title screen to active a hidden options menu.
Stage select:
After activating the hidden options menu, choose a stage from the options menu and hold down the A + START buttons at the title screen to start gameplay at that location.
Select your desired Beast for each stage:
Try this little trick at the title screen. Press and hold A + B + C + Down/Left then hit the START button. This activates beast mode which allows you to select the beast of your choice for each round of the game. Use the D-pad to choose your desired beasts and Start to exit the options menu.
Hidden sound test:
To access the games hidden sound test, hold down A + C + Up/Right and press START at the title screen.
Fight the end credits:
After recusing Athena, use the Punch or Kick buttons to make the end credits descend downwards.
