In a recent update from the folks over at The Verge, it was reported that Bethesda might be teasing the arrival of a new DOOM game reveal for Xbox’s upcoming showcase this June.
Within the article on the website there was a slight hint of a new unveiling, saying that future announcements could assist with:
“lifting the Doom around Xbox.”
The quoted snippet of text is by no means a confirmation of a new entry, but it does seem to indicate that another game in the iconic series is going to be announced very soon.
Doom Eternal, released in 2020, was the last game in the series for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. It was awarded game of the year at the time.
I feel like it’s definitely about time for the Doomguy Slayer’s return.
