A sequel to Dog Soldiers is something that creator Neil Marshall has been trying to get off the ground for almost a decade now. In a new interview with the folks over at Inverse this week, Marshall revealed that it’s still a possibility.
Here’s a snippet of what Marshall has to say about Dog Soldiers 2:
“I’m not giving up, though; there’s still a possibility. We’ve been trying to get it off the ground for the past six years. I’ve got a story hammered out. Kevin McKidd (who played Cooper in the first film) is on board.”
The fact that Kevin McKidd remains on board and is willing to reprise his role as Cooper will keep the fire burning for as long as it takes to get this thing made.
The original Dog Soldiers is a prenominal werewolf film that truly deserves a sequel at some point in the future. Let’s just keep our fingers tightly crossed in the hopes we get one eventually.
