Jared Leto Lands the Role of Skeletor in New Masters Of The Universe Movie

Jared Leto lands iconic role in in Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel’s Masters Of The Universe movie.

Jared Leto has been cast as the iconic supervillain Skeletor in Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel’s live-action Masters of the Universe film, Dark Nation has learned this evening.

If you were a kid growing up watching television programs through the 80s, you will probably fondly remember watching the epic battles between He-Man and Skeletor during that time period.

The upcoming film has the following plot:

“He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe, battles the evil Skeletor to save the planet Eternia and protect the secrets of Castle Grayskull.”

Travis Knight (“Bumblebee”) will helm from a script written by Chris Butler (animator at Laika).

Nicholas Galitzine will play the lead hero role of He-Man. Alison Brie will play the role of Evil-Lyn. Idris Elba will play Duncan, Man-At-Arms.

Besides Leto, other cast members incude: Sam C. Wilson (House of the Dragon) as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson (The Northman) as Goat Man, and Kojo Attah (In the Grey) as Tri-Klops.
