It’s probably a good time to upgrade your copy of George A. Romero‘s classic psychological horror film Martin because British distributors Second Sight Films is giving it the 4K treatment.
Along with a new 4K restoration, the latest edition of Romero’s Martin includes a fair selection of bonus material to keep fans happy.
Hitting 4K on March 27th, Martin follows the story of:
“A troubled young man, who believes himself to be a vampire, goes to live with his elderly and religious cousin in a small Pennsylvania town where he tries to redeem his blood-craving urges after he falls for a lonely housewife, all the while his hostile cousin becomes convinced that the young man is actually Nosferatu.”
Romero filmed Martin in the Pittsburgh suburb of Braddock, Pennsylvania in 1978. John Amplas made his screen debut in the film as Martin, and it still remains one of his finest performances in all of Romero’s work he has appeared in.
