We are kicking off yet another Monday with some great Sonic the Hedgehog Game Genie codes for the classic Genesis platforming video game from the almighty Sega.
Note: All the cheats and codes shared on this page are for the US versions of the game, console, and cheat device. But they might be compatible with the UK regions as well.
STAGE SELECT:
First up, here’s a standard cheat that lets you select which stage you would like to play on. On the title screen, press Up, Down, Left, Right on your controller. If successful, you should hear a ping sound. Next, hold down the A button and hit Start to bring up an option to pick your desired stage.
You should hear a noise like a ring being collected. Then, hold A and press Start for a level select!
GAME GENIE CODES:
You will require a Game Genie cartridge to use any of the cheat codes found below.
Enter this master code first to be able to use the rest – ATBT–AA32
Begin a game with 1 life – AE3T–AACL
Credits you 5 lives to start with – AY3T–AACL
Gives Sonic invincibility – AE0T–CABE
Each ring counts as 8 on pickup – SCRA–BAX0
Entering this code gives Sonic unlimited lives – GJ6A–CA7A
Lets you access the stage selection option – AJ3A–AA4G
Begin a new game with 5 chaos emeralds already collected – AY3T–BA4R
Gives Sonic a super jump – DDLT–AAGL
Allows Sonic the ability to walk in the air – BDLT–AAGL
Makes Sonic’s jumps very low – KDLT–AAGL
Turns off the music – RYTA–R6W4
