They Follow, a 10 year sequel to the horror classic It Follows, will see Maika Monroe return to her protagonist character Jamie Height.
In a new interview with W Magazine this week, Monroe talked about her character and the pressure of doing a follow up film to what has, over time, become a fan favorite:
“Definitely. It’ll be weird for sure, as well as challenging. There’s pressure with this film because there’s such a massive fan base, and we have to do it justice. It’s been so long since I’ve played this character, so trying to tap back into Jay and piece together what her life would’ve looked like for the past 10 years will be a bizarre experience. Or maybe it’ll be super easy. We’ll have to see.”
Not a whole lot has been revealed up until now about the film since it was first announced by director David Robert Mitchell last October.
