Capcom is currently developing a remake of one of their better Resident Evil games in the series, Resident Evil: Code Veronica. But do they have planned for the next revamp for modern consoles? Check out the latest word on the game below.
The latest rumour from social media game information leaker Dusk Golem suggest that the game could be increasing its horror aspect quite a lot more than the original:
“I don’t really think they are at this point. Code Veronica Remake is going in a much stronger horror direction than the original CV (still has silly stuff & action stuff, but the horror aspect is increased in the Remake), & all of Capcom’s data tells them that horror is constantly the most successful, well liked, & stand out moments for players. Capcom is a very data based company, & every data point for them shows that they should embrace horror more. RE9 was a project long in development that changed form multiple times & wanted to try capture every RE game in different sections, give shades of the whole franchise. It has shades of literally every RE game in it, including RE6, but also RE1, RE0, RE2, RE3, RE4, RE7, etc. But I think they’ll go back-and-forth on trying to find the horror-action balance.”
