As we previously reported, a new DOOM game is rumoured to be revealed next month at the Xbox game showcase. Now, an exclusive report from the folks at Insider Gaming states that the next game in the series titled DOOM: The Dark Ages has been confirmed.
It’s been four years since the last DOOM game, DOOM Eternal.
If the rumour is true, Bethesda and id Software will reveal the new game at the showcase event on June 9th. The event will kick off at 1pm ET / 10am PT / 6pm BST / 7pm CEST.
The new game has apparently been in development for a number of years, and is said to be set in a medieval environment.
We are not quite sure how reputable the source reporting the news is, so we advise our readers to take all this with a grain of salt for now.
We are 75% confident it’s happening, though.
