A familiar face will be featured in Evil Dead Rise as a cameo, this according to a recent note from the director of the project Lee Cronin. That’s right, folks. Bruce Campbell‘s Ash Williams has a hidden cameo in the new horror film somewhere for you fans to find.
In a new interview this week with our friends over at Empire Online website, Cronin teased the following details on Ash’s cameo appearance and offered $50 to the first person who discovers its whereabouts in the film:
“It felt like in order to move the franchise somewhere new and to unlock the potential of the universe to tell more stories, it needed to break free [of Ash]. But Bruce is hidden in the movie somewhere. Bruce has a small presence in the movie. The first person to figure it out and send me a tweet, I’ll give them 50 bucks.”
Let’s just hope it’s a little bit more than the “groovy” dialog Ash dished out at the end of director Fede Álvarez’s 2013 Evil Dead reboot.
The trailers for the film up to this point have been looking rather promising. Fans of the series might be in for a bit of a treat with this latest one. What do you think thus far?
