When we last caught up with horror legend Bruce Campbell, he stated that the Evil Dead animated series could be years away due to the slow-motion, molasses processes. Today, Campbell dropped some more brief details on the series.
While taking part in a new Zoom conversation to promote his Peacock series Hysteria!, Campbell shared some more information on the upcoming Evil Dead animated series. Sadly, it will not be connected to Ash vs. Evil Dead.
“It doesn’t really have anything to do with any of that world,” Campbell said. “It will be a different scenario [that’s] not necessarily directly connected.”
Not only are we getting an Evil Dead animated series, but two more movies are also in development. With all the epic news that has been revealed over the last couple of months, I think it’s safe to say that the future of the franchise is looking rather strong.
The above statement from Bruce Campbell himself might come as a bit of a disappointment to some of the diehards in the Evil Dead fanbase.
