As announced back in April of this year, Francis Galluppi and Sébastien Vaniček (Infested) have been hired to write and direct one new Evil Dead each. Yes, two more movies are being crafted.
Also on the way is an Evil Dead animated series, and today we have a small update on that.
Speaking with ComicBook this week, Campbell gave a brief update on the Evil Dead animated series and teased more movies:
“We’re just developing it. So we are, but these are slow-motion, molasses processes, so it could be years away. But yeah, it’s on the hopper and so are two more movies.”
It sounds like we could be waiting a good few years yet before we will get anything new from the iconic horror franchise. Still, it’s nice to hear that the three new projects will reach us eventually.
