One of two new Evil Dead movies is set to be written and directed by Francis Galluppi for Sam Raimi and Robert Tapert’s Ghost House Pictures, reports the Deadline website this week.
Rami shared the following statement with the site about the next project:
“Francis Galluppi is a storyteller who knows when to keep us waiting in simmering tension and when to hit us with explosive violence. He is a director that shows uncommon control in his feature debut.”
As mentioned, this isn’t the only movie in development. Sébastien Vaniček (Infested) is also set to co-write and direct a new Evil Dead spin-off movie.
Fans of the beloved horror franchise are probably going to find themselves rather excited with the announcement of yet another new movie on the way.
Not much else is known about either project at present, but there is no question fans are going to be rather spoilt.
