Original A Nightmare on Elm Street icon Heather Langenkamp has been open to reprising her role as heroine Nancy Thomson for several years now.
Langenkamp was recently a guest on the NOFSPodcast where she talked about her eagerness to return to the Elm Street franchise in a possible legacy sequel.
When asked if she would still reprise her role as Nancy, the actress said:
“God, yes. I mean, of course. She’s a great character. How could you say no?”
Langenkamp on more potential battle with horror icon Freddy Krueger:
“I just need somebody to get that off the ground. Especially considering Nightmare on Elm Street Part Seven, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994). I do think there’s a lot of really great opportunities for new and excellent battles still to come.”
Finally she added:
“In my imagination, I have several legacy sequels happening at the same time.”
