If you have been following along with us, you will know all about of leaker Dusk Golem’s information on Capcom’s long-awaited Resident Evil 9 video game.
Another interesting rumour going around at the moment is that the next franchise entry could be an open world game, this according to one of Dusk Golem’s previous statements.
Golem’s last update mentioned that the game might have been internally delayed at Capcom. But a new update from the same leaker via X suggests things might have changed and the game should be revealed fairly soon, with a planned release date some time in 2025.
Golem shared the following details this week on his X account regarding the latest rumour:
I have good news/rumors to deliver on Resident Evil 9. The possible delay I had heard murmurs about can be pushed aside. RE9 should be revealed pretty soon & release next year. If what I heard previously holds true, should be in January. It’ll have had about 7 years in dev.
