A number of weeks back, we reported on a rumour that Capcom was in early development on Resident Evil 9 and would more than likely go open world with their next game in the series. Shortly after that, a known leaker who goes by name of Dusk Golem, shared another update stating that he believes the game has been internally delayed.
We are hearing that another remake is currently in the works at Capcom, this being the reason behind the delay of the ninth Resi game. Golem also mentions this as a valid reason in his latest explanation.
Here is Golem’s Discord post talking about the possible delay:
Before any official announcement and development can begin on the rumoured Resident Evil 9 open world game, at least we can look forward to playing remade versions of other classic Resi games while we wait for the big one to arrive.
