Pennywise actor Bill Skarsgard says he was reluctant to return to the role of Pennywise in the HBO’s new series It: Welcome to Derry.
In a new interview with the folks over at ScreenRant this week, Skarsgard shared the following comments:
“We did the two movies, and they were very successful. You don’t want to milk this one out with a TV show that might not live up to the success of the previous films.”
“I feel that, in the end, we explored some parts of Pennywise that we hadn’t seen before or hadn’t done.”
A second season of the Pennywise series It: Welcome to Derry is being considered.
