A new rumour making the rounds over the last week indicates that Capcom are preparing to showcase their next game in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 9. As the leaker suggests, fans might be in for a nice treat this December.
The leaker, known as Lunatic Ignus, shared the following X post with his audience regarding the unveiling of Capcom’s Resident Evil 9 at next months Game Awards on December 12th:
I also believe the next Resident Evil game will be announced in December, but considering the focus on Monster Hunter: Wilds, it’s safe to say that “it’s just a huge possibility” for that game to be there.

I must add, we don’t have any definite proof that the next game in the Resi series will indeed be revolved before the year comes to an end. As always with these types of social media posts, take them with a pinch of salt.
There have been numerous reports over the last couple of months, so we might as well add this rumour to the growing pile until the Resident Evil 9 reveal comes to fruition.
