According to a new report from Jeff Sneider (theinsneider) this week, Jim Henson’s beloved 1986 fantasy film Labyrinth is getting a reboot from Nosferatu director Robert Eggers.
Eggers is reportedly teaming up with Sony and Jim Henson Co. to write and direct the new film.
Sneider is what we would call a very reputable source, so there’s no reason not to believe this piece of breaking news as of writing this latest article.
Sneider also notes that the original source of the news came from an official news letter.
The original film has the following synopsis:
“A young female must go on a journey in order to rescue her baby brother who has been kidnapped by a sinister male master of manipulation who tests her.”
No further details were revealed about the film at present.
Dark Nation will post more news soon on the Labyrinth reboot if the report turns out to be true and when more information is available to the public.
