The new Golden Axe revival game is still confirmed to be moving forward at Sega, despite the recent announcement that Super Game has been cancelled at the company.

Beloved Sega franchise IP’s such as Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, and Streets of Rage are also receiving new game installments.

Warriors arise to subdue the demons!

“Defeat your enemies with a variety of attack with swords and magic! The legendary story about the battle axe, “Golden Axe” is about to begin.”

We don’t know an awful lot about Sega’s new Golden Axe game at present, other than it’s going to be in 3D and that original characters Gilius Thunderhead, Ax Battler, and Tyris Flare will make their return with a modern look.

Did you grow up playing the Golden Axe games? If so, which one is your favorite? You can share your opinion by leaving a comment down in our readers community below.
