Saw 10 (officially titled Saw X), featuring franchise favorites Tobin Bell and Shawnee Smith, has wrapped up filming on the latest entry in Mexico City, confirms director Kevin Greutert.
The filmmaker shared the following post via his Twitter page this past Friday evening to confirm the exciting news:
“Just wrapped shooting on Saw X, and though the challenges were huge (easy films are rarely worthwhile in the end), it was one of the most rewarding and epic experiences of my life. Cast and crew were firing on all cylinders, though almost everyone involved was new to the Saw universe, and I got COVID in the final 2 weeks of production, and the movie was made entirely on edgy locations here in Mexico City. My fingers are trembling with anticipation as I look forward to starting to edit. I hope we can use the title Saw X because this chapter really gets back to the roots of what makes Saw special to me and everyone else.”

Hopefully, Saw X goes back to the roots of the first 4 or 5 sequels because to me the last couple of movies felt very different from the earlier installments in the franchise. But then again, a change in direction can be a good thing.
We don’t currently have an official synopsis for Saw X, but I’m guessing it will pop up fairly soon now that filming has wrapped up. Dark Nation will be covering all the promotional material for the latest Saw movie as it begins.
Also starring alongside franchise regulars Bell and Smith are Michael Beach, Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandez, Octavio Hinojosa, and Joshua Okamoto.

As of writing this article, not much is known about Saw X currently, but we do know the film is heading to theaters on October 27th, 2023.
